Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026-10-11
These terms govern all bookings and services provided by Mitchreny Adventures ("we", "our", "us"). By making a booking you accept these terms.
1. Booking & confirmation
All bookings are confirmed only after we have received and acknowledged payment. Submitting the booking form is a request, not a confirmation. We will contact you to confirm availability and any final details.
2. Prices & payment
- All prices are quoted in US dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise.
- Prices are per person based on double occupancy unless otherwise specified.
- Payments are processed securely by Paystack. We do not store card details.
- Any bank or currency conversion fees are the traveller's responsibility.
3. Changes by you
If you need to change your dates, traveller names, or other details, contact us as soon as possible. Changes are subject to availability and any fees charged by lodges, camps, or airlines.
4. Cancellation & refunds
Cancellation terms depend on the supplier. As a guide:
- More than 30 days before travel: deposit refundable minus a small admin fee, subject to supplier terms.
- 15–30 days before travel: partial refund depending on supplier terms.
- Less than 15 days before travel: generally non-refundable.
Any refund we are able to make is subject to the terms of our third-party suppliers. Peak-season bookings may have stricter terms — we'll confirm at the time of booking.
5. Cancellations by us
We reserve the right to cancel a trip in exceptional circumstances — including unsafe weather, security concerns, or supplier failure. In such cases we will offer an alternative date or a full refund of the amount paid to us.
6. Travel documents & insurance
- You are responsible for holding a valid passport, visa (where required), and any health certificates (e.g. yellow fever).
- We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, personal liability, cancellation, and baggage.
7. Health & safety
- Safari areas may include malaria zones — please consult your doctor about prophylaxis.
- Follow your guide's instructions at all times. Wildlife is unpredictable and serious injury can occur outside vehicles or camps.
- We are not liable for illness, injury, or loss arising from failure to follow reasonable safety advice.
8. Itinerary changes
Itineraries are given in good faith but may change due to weather, wildlife movements, road conditions, or supplier decisions. We will always aim to provide a comparable alternative.
9. Liability
We act as an agent for hotels, lodges, transport providers, and other suppliers. We are not liable for losses, injuries, or delays caused by those third parties, by acts of God, or by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
10. Photography & marketing
We may take photos or video during trips for use on our website and social media. If you'd prefer not to appear, let your guide know at the start of the trip.
11. Complaints
If something isn't right during your trip, please raise it with your guide or our office immediately — most issues are resolved faster when we know about them. Formal complaints should be emailed to info@mitchrenyadventures.co.ke within 28 days of travel.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
