Overview
Why visit Lake Nakuru
A shallow Rift Valley soda lake ringed by acacia forest, world-famous for its flamingos and a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos.
Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya's most accessible parks, only two hours from Nairobi. Though flamingo numbers vary with water levels, the park remains a reliable place to see rhinos, Rothschild's giraffe, lions, and over 450 bird species. The viewpoints of Baboon Cliff and Out of Africa give sweeping views across the Rift Valley.
